Oldest zoo adds endangered bats

Schoenbrunn Zoo in Vienna, widely regarded as the world’s oldest zoological garden, has announced the birth of three endangered megabats. The newborns—large flying foxes—were filmed clinging to and cuddling with their mother and beginning to explore a newly opened rainforest-style enclosure. Zoo staff released video of the youngsters playing and climbing while keepers monitor their health and development as part of routine postnatal care.

Large flying foxes give birth while hanging upside down, and Anton Weissenbacher, head of the zoo’s zoological department, explained that a mother uses her wing to form a hammock that catches the baby after birth. Officials say the successful litter is an important conservation milestone for an endangered species, helping maintain genetic diversity and allowing the zoo to continue breeding, research and public education programs aimed at protecting megabat populations.

Step 3 of 3Now pick the conspirators

Who did it? And what's their angle?

Every conspiracy theory pins one culprit and one motive on the same story. The same story can spawn any number of theories — different culprits, different motives. That's part of how you spot a conspiracy theory: the same event can be "explained" any number of ways.
